The twinkling lights and tinsel have been put away for another year. Christmas and 2015 have come and gone, and today we celebrate a brand new year with brand new possibilities! Happy 2016 to all you fabulous fashionistas.
We hope everyone had a fun and safe New Years Eve, whether you were out on the town, (hopefully in a fabuless thrifted outfit), like me or enjoyed relaxing and visiting with family, like Vicky.
Of course with the new year comes new year resolutions. Have any of you made any? Or perhaps already broken one or two? Sometimes the resolutions we make can be hard to abide by, but we have a suggestion for you that will be super easy to keep as well as lots of fun! If you want to look like a fashion Diva this year, but are wanting to save money and not pay Diva prices, try thrifting.
Perhaps you would like to start the new year with a new look. By visiting thrift stores or consignment shops you can find many unique items. After all you don’t want the “new” you to look just like everyone else! Or perhaps you would like to add more color or patterns to your wardrobe. For years I was a total tee shirt and jeans kind of gal. Only solid colored tees at that! I never was one to spend a lot on my wardrobe and I felt that solids were a safe bet. Now that I thrift I find myself willing to take a chance and have broadened my fashion horizons. Vicky and I both enjoy wearing skirts, and dresses and I have gone from only solid colored tees to enjoying plaids, polka dots, stripes and more! All without breaking the bank.
Whatever your style, classic, sporty, bohemian, you are sure to find something just right for you. Granted, sometimes thrifting can be a hit or miss proposition, and you definitely need to try it more than once. But when you get that “hit” and find the perfect outfit or accessory for a fabuless price, the feeling can’t be beat.
Vicky and I are definitely looking forward to a new year of thrifting and sharing some of favorite finds with you. We hope you will come along with us and get in on the fun. We would also love to hear from you if you have a favorite thrifted item to tell us about.
Check back with us soon as we will have new photos to share.
Wishing all of you health, happiness and all the best in 2016.
Till next time be thrifty and stay fabuless!
Teresa and Vicky
